I highly recommend you buy a box of good-quality, medium-weight plastic spoons. Keep some in the car, some on your night stand, some by the TV, and so on, and practice whenever you can. Available at any grocery store.
The car is the best place to practice. If you travel a lot, keeping a spoon going while driving will get your muscles trained quickly. I've worked on my spoon for four hours on road trips. It also helps keep you awake.
Why use a plastic spoon?
The spoon is an excellent mechanism for providing feedback. Without feedback, your tongue and fingers can't feel what’s happening. The spoon also provides resistance for training at different pressures, and the contours of the spoon help you pinpoint contact areas on the up and down strokes of your tongue or fingers. I have found this ability to pinpoint invaluable when you find the exact points of your lover’s erogenous zones. It's important to be able to stay on point and not drift off. When you get up to speed, you will see how easy it is to transfer the technique to various parts of her body.

It's just that simple. But you have to do the work.
Using a spoon and your tongue, practice maintaining a consistent speed, rhythm and pressure level on both the up and down strokes. Start with short sessions of slow stroking and work up to a faster pace and longer sessions over time.
Practicing to music can help you control and increase your tempo as you train the fine motor skill muscles of your tongue. Once you get the basic skill down and can do it for minutes on end, experiment with changing your rhythm by listening to different music, from rock to Celtic fiddle music. Your goal is to be able to flick your tongue as quickly as possible: ideally, you will reach 580 licks per minute. That’s 7-9 licks per second—that's right, per second.
You can get there. Just like anything worth doing, it will take time and practice. I encourage you to come up with a training schedule that works for you. The important thing is that you stick with it, so don’t hinder yourself by setting yourself an impossible goal.
Here’s an example 5-week training regimen to try. Feel free to adjust it to work with your lifestyle:
Week 1: Train for 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
Week 2: Train for 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
Week 3: Train for 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
Week 4: Train for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
Week 5: Train for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

At first, you will experience tongue fatigue. You may become frustrated and feel that you "aren't getting it.” Push through this frustration as with any new skill, if you keep at it, you will get results. However, practicing too much will result in possible lip or tongue pain and numbness. If this happens, scale back a little, and make sure you’re not overextending your tongue. Keep your tongue close to your lips.
Most guys who are diligent about practicing will find that they can achieve a decent speed and rhythm in about a month’s time. (As seen in the video, Mastery is 12-14 licks per second, or 800+ licks per minute.)
